Moser River (Halifax, Nova Scotia), Canada: If you love country life and quiet scenic surroundings, this is the place to learn English by the sea in Halifax, Nova Scotia. We live in a restored century home overlooking a river estuary that empties into the Atlantic Ocean. We currently have a work horse, several goats and chickens (so fresh eggs for breakfast!) A convenience store and post office are in the village, with a larger town about 15 minutes away. There are wonderful beaches nearby with lots of forest trails to explore.
Mississauga, Canada: The house is within walking distance of shops and transit. We are in the city with all the benefits, but it looks like the country. Quiet neighbourhood, safe and friendly, a short bus ride to Toronto. Take day trips to Niagara Falls or other wonderful cities. A detached home with a huge backyard. The movie, computer and book library are available at the house. Interact with students from many other countries. Go for a walk in the park or swim at the club. I teach with a sense of humor.
