Teaching Qualifications and Experience
I have 10 years experience teaching English as a Second Language to learners of all levels, backgrounds and ages. I have lived and taught in Japan and Turkey. I have a Bachelor of Arts, a Bachelor of Education, and a TESL certificate.
Hobbies and Interests
We enjoy many outdoor activities. I really like golf and cross-country skiing. I also enjoy travelling, reading, cooking and knitting!
Accommodation
The student's room includes a bed, dresser, closet, and desk.
Excursions and Local Attractions
We offer daily activities depending on the season and weather. In summer, we go swimming boating, canoeing and fishing on the lakes and rivers in our area.We enjoy hiking on the 100's of acres of ponds hills and forest adjacent to our house and bicycling on our quiet country roads. We like to golf at either of the two golf courses nearby or play a nice game of badminton in the backyard.
In winter, we go skating, cross-country skiing, dogsledding, snowshoeing, and icefishing. Of course a Canadian adventure is not complete without a semi-professional hockey game experience in the city closest to our house, Peterborough.
In all seasons, we play games together, visit or have friends over for meals, go bowling, play ping pong and volleyball, and even sing a little bit of home Karaoke sometimes.
