Excursions and Local Attractions

This is a wonderful nature area. Four small communities are within a 30 minute drive. This means there are always lots of choices of things to see and do. There are music festivals, live theatre, museums, and farmer's markets and always opportunities to talk to Canadians and USE your English.

This is also a great nature area with hiking trails, picnic sites by the water, and swimming in the summer - lakes and rivers are close by. Make a waterfall tour or visit historic sites. You will choose which activities or events you want to participate in.

Going to local events and activities is an important part of the curriculum. Most weekends will include going to a different event each day. As well, there will be some during the week as well. These should match the interests of the student and provide an opportunity to communicate in English and also to experience Canadian culture.

Transportation is by private car driven by the teacher who will always be available for help.
