Hobbies and Interests
I have a passion for outdoor education and our family experience canoe camping each summer. We are very interested in sport where tennis, squash, rugby and volleyball are areas of competence. I coach rugby for my son's team and our school team. We enjoy skiing and snowmobiling and we hike often.
Accommodation
We have a country home with a cottage and a farm with three cottages. The student has options to stay in the main home or the cottage. The main home has a full bedroom with high speed internet.
Excursions and Local Attractions
We live in the tourist destination of Ontario. The town of Huntsville was the G8 resort town that hosted the meeting in 2010. It is a ski resort town and in summer it is the premier destination for tourists as the lake, forest and rivers abound. We have a home above a major lake and a four hundred acre farm adjacent Algonquin Park. Both of us are native first language teachers and we also speak French, Dutch, Spanish, Portuguese and some German. We are able to offer canoe excursions, canoe camping excursion, trips into Algonquin Park and trips to Toronto and Niagara.
