Moser River (Halifax, Nova Scotia), Canada: If you love country life and quiet scenic surroundings, this is the place to learn English by the sea in Halifax, Nova Scotia. We live in a restored century home overlooking a river estuary that empties into the Atlantic Ocean. We currently have a work horse, several goats and chickens (so fresh eggs for breakfast!) A convenience store and post office are in the village, with a larger town about 15 minutes away. There are wonderful beaches nearby with lots of forest trails to explore.

Excursions and Local Attractions
Nova Scotia has "so much to see" and we are ideally located -- half way between Halifax with its nightlife, culture, history, museums, art galleries, theatre, etc. and Cape Breton Island, one of the province's most popular destinations. (Scottish and French (Acadian) cultures). Much depends on the student guest/s interests and language goals. (I often incorporated learning experiences with excursions when I taught).
