I am a native Italian teacher and the founder of Italian Virtual School, the online school dedicated to the Italian learning by Skype.
I am living, and hosting my students for the HOMESTAY COURSES, in my house where there is one floor fully available for the student. I like providing, in addition to the ITALIAN COURSES, if requested, cooking sessions and many suggestions for visiting Turin and surroundings.
Type of Programme
One-to-One, personalised Italian tuition living full-board with the tutor's own family and in the tutor's own home, including local visits and excursions, meeting friends, neighbours and professional colleagues etc.
Type of House: - Italy
Teaching Qualifications and Experience
I am teaching Italian to foreigners since 2009. During these years I had the opportunity to collect different experiences in different contests: Universities, Language Schools, Companies.
Since 2013 I opened an online School called Italian Virtual School, addressed to the online learning of the Italian language (by Skype). As I have a very nice house with big space and garden I also decided to offer homestay learning opportunities.
About my qualifications in 2012 I got the Master Degree at the University for Foreigners of Perugia and in 2003 the degree in Philosophy.
Hobbies and Interests
Reading novels, travelling, being in contact with myself, with the nature, with my children...
Accommodation
It is a studio, a big independent area with private access and private bathroom. It has the space of a big living room because it is equivalent to the area in we live upsteirs.
We provide breakfast in a nice veranda next to the garden and offer italian coffe and fresh cornetti every morning.
Excursions and Local Attractions
TURIN is a very nice city between the Alps and the hills. Standing from an high point of the city, you can admire the Monviso, one of the highest mountain of the Alps, from which has been taken, many say, the image of the Paramount Picture.
Looking instead toward est you can see the hills, after the river: many good wines are produced there and Piedmont is in general one of the most important region for the wine producing (Barbera, Dolcetto, Barolo, Nebbiolo are just some of the most famous ones).
These are things that you cannot miss in Turin and surroundings:
1) Visiting the CITY CENTER: our favourite sqaures are Piazza Carlo Alberto, very elegant, and Piazza Vittorio, one of the biggest in Italy, just before the river and one of the most nice place for taking an “aperitivo“.
2) Visiting the LANGHE, outside Turin, the reagion of the hills and of the wines where also the Slow Food movement was born.
3) Eating chocolate! Turn and Piedmont are very famous for that!
