Excursions and Local Attractions
Rottweil is a town in southwest Germany in the state of Baden-Wurttemberg. Located between the Black Forest and the Swabian Alps, Rottweil has about 25.000 inhabitants. The old town is famous for its medieval center and for its traditional carnival. It's the oldest town in Baden-Wurttemberg and its appearance has changed very little since the 16th century. There are many places of local, cultural and historical interest to visit: The Lake of Constance, Freiburg, Tübingen and the Black Forest are very close. The city of Heidelberg can be reached in 2 hours. The Swabian Alps also offer a beautiful landscape and lots of sightseeing possibilities.
