I live in a 4 bedroom house with a large garden which gives us lots of strawberries and raspberries in the summer. Tockwith is a quiet and friendly village which is only 10 miles from the centre of York.
The York, Leeds, Harrogate, Scarborough area of North Yorkshire is a beautiful area with something for everyone from history and art to shopping or countryside and I love to show people around.

York is a fascinating small city with historical buildings dating from the Roman era and the largest medieval cathedral in Northern Europe. It has a wide range of facilities: York Minster, the Jorvik Viking Centre, medieval buildings and city walls, art gallery and museums (re-trains,aircraft and general history) historical houses, one haunted, the York Dungeons and gardens to visit.
We are also in easy access of Leeds, a bustling city with a superb range of shops, Harrogate, a Victorian spa town and the countryside around York is very beautiful with many picturesque villages, small towns, castles, abbeys and stately homes to explore. There are also theme parks (Light Water Valley or Flamingoland) and sea-side resorts (Scarborough being the largest)nearby and excellent areas for walking and cycling.
The Henry Moore Sculpture park and Saltaire Mills, a world heritage site, are also possible for a days visit.
