Hobbies and Interests
Hill and trail walking, Nordic walking, food/cooking (we try to source local food), travel, reading, local history, film, theatre, music, gardening. On our small holding we have horses, sheep and hens.
I have a reasonable working knowledge of Italian, a language that I continue to enjoy learning.

a double room with ensuite bathroom. Desk for study.
A single room with a bathroom next door (shared if more than one guest is staying, but otherwise private).
A twin room with own sink in room and shared bathroom.

Chipping Sodbury (3 miles) - Attractive and historical market town with regular Farmers market.
Lower Woods Nature Reserve - 10 minutes walk from our house. Beautiful walks in this tranquil haven of plant and animal life.
Badminton (2 miles) - Badminton Horse trials in May.
National Trust properties, just a short drive away: visit Dyrham Park or Newark Park for garden, grounds and house tours.
Wotton Under Edge (6 miles) - pleasant ‘old fashioned’ small town with small independent cinema.
Castle Combe - beautiful Cotswold village about 20 minutes drive from our village. Renowned car/bike race track near by.
Slimbridge Wetland Centre (30 minutes away by car) - enjoy amazing wildlife close up
Bath - visit the Abbey, Thermal Roman Baths, Jane Austen Museum, other museums, shops, theatre, walk along the river, visit the parks, fashion museum.
Bristol - take the Bristol Ferry Boat, visit Brunel's ss Great Britain/other museums, cycle the Bristol to Bath Railway Path. Cinema, shops ...!
