Southport is a stylish seaside resort with many shops, clubs, pubs and restaurants. (Emperor Louis-Napoleon is reputed to have used its famous Lord Street as a model for the boulevards of Paris.) The Arts Centre is currently undergoing a multi-million pounds re-development. The beach is one of the longest in England and is perfect for those who like walking. Southport is the 'golf capital' of England with many top quality courses close by. We live within walking distance of the town centre and railway station.
The great commercial, cultural, sporting and entertainment cities of Liverpool and Manchester are easily accessible. Liverpool is closest (trains run every 15 minutes). Whether you are interested in art, theatre, clubing, sport, exploring museums or historic buildings, Liverpool has them all.
AND, of course, it is the home of the Beatles!
It is truly cosmopolitan city. Liverpudlians' good humour is legendary and for centuries, they have welcomed people from all over the world.
