We have a large, lovely, walled garden and summerhouse for relaxing, a bicycle for cycling and in the village is Europe's largest indoor climbing arena. The picturesque Union Canal offers canoe and boat trips. Beautiful walks, views of the hills and famous Forth Road Bridge.

I have taught in Primary schools in England and Scotland.
After completeing CELTA I taught in Japan (2 years) all ages and Business English. I taught English to Primary Teachers in Mozambique for 2 years and for the British Council.
I have 3 years experience of Homestay English Teaching and have taught Adult Basic Education and TEFL in Edinburgh for 3 years.
Hobbies and Interests
Natural History and conservation, canoeing and cycling, yoga, music and dance, food politics and reading.
My husband is Cuban so I have an active interest in speaking Spanish.
Excursions and Local Attractions
Edinburgh is full of historic and cultural places to visit - the Old Town, Castle, Holyrood Palace, Houses of Parliament, museums and galleries, exhibitions and lectures. There is also an abundance of sport (especially golf, sailing, canoing,racquet sports), dance classes etc. and of course, the Edinburgh Festival.
Here in the village there is the largest indoor climbing arena in Europe, the canal with water sports facilities, cycling and golf. The surrounding area has opportunities for visiting historic castles and palaces, country parks and camping and visits to places such as Loch Lomond, Loch Ness and the Highlands.
