Duns, Scotland: Kathi (a teacher) and Eric (a historian) run a busy household with four children aged 5-14. They live in a fabulous Georgian villa, in the pretty town of Duns in south-east Scotland, close to some wonderful beaches, abbeys and country houses. Kathi likes sewing and as a family they also enjoy hillwalking, ceilidh dancing, watching films and playing board games & music

I love sewing (patchwork and quilting, making soft furnishings). I also give sewing lessons. I enjoy baking and cooking, being a keen gardener who also keeps chickens! As a family we enjoy walking, visits to local castles and country houses, board games and ceilidh dances. I love to read too.

Accommodation

Our generously proportioned guest room is the original dining room of the house with windows on two sides and an old capacious 1930s bed with two frames, mattresses and duvets (it can also be arranged as a twin room). It has high ceilings and views of the garden. The bathroom is upstairs.
