Hobbies and Interests
Reading, learning languages, visiting other countries and meeting people from other countries and chatting to them, watching television, going for walks, swimming, cycling, sailing, history, going to the theatre and visiting art galleries and spending time with my adult children and grandchildren.
Accommodation
In the student's room is a double bed - sometimes students wish to bring their partners - a wardrobe, a bookcase, a desk, WI-FI, a dressing table, a radio alarm clock, a hairdryer, a carpet, a desk lamp, the main light and a heater. This room is upstairs and has a beautiful view over Edinburgh.
Excursions and Local Attractions
Edinburgh is the capital of Scotland and a very old and beautiful city. There are many places to visit and things to do not only within the city but in the areas round about.
Here is a list of some of them.There is a wide selection of pubs and restaurants and recreational facilities and tourist attractions such as Edinburgh Castle, Holyrood Palace, The Scottish Parliament, the High Street with its many old historic buildings and tours telling of times gone by, Dynamic Earth, Princess Street with many stylish shops and wonderful Gardens with its famous flower clock,the Scott Monument, the Old Town and the New Town, many museums and art galleries, theatres, cinemas, golf courses, the port of Leith and Newhaven Harbour, Musselburgh, Port Seton and opportunities to visit further afield such as St Andrews,Fife, Glasgow.the Trossachs, Perthshire and the Highlands. Edinburgh also has a fine university, an International Conference Centre and the Royal Infirmary. It is a fine friendly city.
