Teaching Qualifications and Experience
I am CELTA qualified and have been hosting students at home for eight years. I teach General English, English for Business, exam preparation including IELTS, TOEFL, TOEIC and Cambridge. Before teaching I was a journalist for 25 years. All levels of English are catered for, from beginner to advanced. with one-to-one lessons designed to be formal but fun, tailored to individual needs and learning styles. The learning process continues throughout the day, with opportunities to practise in a real-life setting, for example during excursions and at family meal times.
Hobbies and Interests
My interests are many and varied. They include jogging, squash, piano, guitar (we are quite a musical family), current affairs and good conversation. My wife works as a careers adviser. Her interests include jogging, good conversation and good cooking.
