London, United Kingdom: I live in a quiet residential area, right next to a local park. My house is large and was built in the 1930s. 10 minutes walk away is the tube station where you can get a tube directly into Central London, the West End, Knightsbridge etc.
Also 10 minutes walk away is the shopping and restaurant area of Wood Green where you can find lots of shops, an indoor market, restaurants, pubs and even more parks. We have nearby Crouch End famous for where actors live and Alexandra Palace.

Teaching Qualifications and Experience

I have been teaching English for a number of years, and my experiences include teaching both adults and children, including teenagers, in college and school settings, on a one to one or group classes, and online via Skype. Over the Summer holidays, I was lucky enough to be selected to run classes of basic English to overseas students from China. These students were between 15-17 years old, and we had that many in each class. We took the students on local excursions, including to meet the Mayor of Enfield. Lots of selfies with the Mayor going on!

Hobbies and Interests

My background is one of an artistic nature. I ran jewellery making classes for many years, teaching in a college at one point. Jewellery making has now become my hobby and I still love teaching it from time to time.
I love going for walks in the countryside, visiting places of interest.

Accommodation

The student's bedroom is large with high ceilings. There is a large wardrobe with mirrored doors and drawers. The bed is double with a bedside table and lamp. This bedroom has an en-suite wet room. There is disabled access to the house as well as to this bedroom.

Excursions and Local Attractions

I live in a part of London that is called Haringey. We have a local tube station, Picadilly Line, which takes you straight into Inner London where you can shop 'til you drop on Oxford Street and other famous shopping areas nearby. Locally, we have lots of beautiful parks, including Alexandra Palace which has ice-skating facilities, and lots of attractions going on throughout the year, including our famous Beer Festival! It is a beautiful park with a lovely traditional pub with traditional food and a lovely atmosphere with outdoor tables and benches. Also locally are lots of shops, including a large shopping mall, high street shops and an indoor market where you can almost everything, food from all over the world, clothes, shoes, hats, the list is endless.
There are plenty of restaurants and coffee shops for hanging out with your friends and traditional pubs that sell food such as fish and chips, noodles, curry and rice, steak and kebabs.....
North London has a vibrant feel to it.
