London is only 1 hour by train, and the nearby historic market towns of Hertford and Saffron Walden are 30 mins drive away. Also easily accessible are West Stow Saxon village, Ely (for its Cathedral and the home of Oliver Cromwell), Anglesey Abbey, Elton Hall and gardens, among other tourist attractions. |
