Bachelor of Social Science majoring in Counselling and Mediation Studies - September 1999; Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (CELTA)- July 2005.
I completed CELTA training in Paris, France and, since my return to Australia, I have been involved in a program which provides English tuition and Australian hospitality to international students.
I have tutored individual university students in preparation for their IELTS test.
Hobbies and Interests
Trevor and I enjoy a variety of activities including tennis, music, walking, exploring, golf (Trevor), photography (Fran), spending time with family and friends, cooking, dining, reading, genealogy (Fran), and travelling. We are easy going and keen to ensure that your stay is a memorable experience
Excursions and Local Attractions
We are close to surf beaches; shopping centres; many National Parks and Heritage Listed areas (Fraser Island). The Sunshine Coast is a tourist destination with restaurants, produce and craft markets, art galleries, Australia Zoo; whale watching; underwater world oceanarium; world class golf courses; and regular concerts and festivals.
There are also many areas of spectacular beauty - rainforest, mountains, waterfalls, rivers, beaches - for you to enjoy. It is a walkers paradise.
And, a 100 km train, car or bus ride will bring you to Brisbane and all the facilities that this modern, relaxed river city offers.
