Teaching Qualifications and Experience

I have over 20 Years working as a teacher with students ranging from 3 years to adults. I have a Bachelors Degree, DIploma of Education and Masters of Education. In addition, I have a TESOL Diploma.

Having taught English at Bond University for the past six years and having had many English Homestays I feel highly qualified to fill the positions of English Teacher and Host Mother. I have an extensive working knowledge of all facets both spoken and written English; am energetic, enthusiastic and have a genuine love of teaching and foreign culture.

Hobbies and Interests

Bike riding, camping, cooking, going to the beach and having BBQs.

Accommodation

A light airy room with a bed and study desk with a lovely view of the garden.

Excursions and Local Attractions

We are ideally located very close to buses, major shopping complexes, the Gold Coast business districts of Southport and Surfers Paradise and only a five minute drive to the beach.

The Gold Coast has many wonderful beaches and natural beauty and our family enjoy bushwalking, going to the beach and camping.

The theme parks are also close by. The train to Brisbane is easily accessible and trains run every 30 minutes. The famous Byron Bay and several World Heritage National Parks are just over an hour from our home.

We are an active family who enjoy exercise, BBQs, and bike riding.
